to theatres, drama schools and other professional bodies. These workshops
are especially suitable for creative business events and corporate
team-building.

From Comedy Acting and Stand-up
to Screenwriting
and Story Devising
Steve’s various practical workshops are mainly created for theatres
and drama schools, though there are also suitable for some business
and corporate events. Recent work includes an Comedy Acting workshop
specially created for the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and a Screenwriting
workshop for Screen West Midlands Film Summer School. Many of Steve
practical workshops are based on his work as a director and lecturer
at the University of Birmingham. Creative and practical workshops are

Birmingham Repertory Comedy Acting Workshop
Steve was recently invited by the Birmingham Rep to run an Acting
Comedy Workshop as part of the Rep’s continuing Education
programme. The workshop was offered to professional local actors
and some of the final year students at The Birmingham School
of Acting. The workshop drew on Steve’s university teaching
and directing skills, using games and exercises to create comic
characters and situations.
Screen West Midlands Film Summer School
Screenwriting Workshop
Steve created a special one-day seminar workshop for students
on The Screen West Midlands Summer School. The workshop included
an introduction to story telling in film and practical advice
for the screenplay writer. Steve also worked as a freelance
script editor for Screen West Midlands.
Business and Corporate
Steve’s practical and inspiring workshops are suitable for
business and corporate events, especially within creative departments
such as advertising, PR and marketing. Steve has also produced two
new and exciting motivational forums specifically for business conferences
and corporate management, Thinking

Your Potential.
University Experience
Several of Steve’s practical workshops now available for theatres,
drama schools and other professional bodies on a freelance basis
